J.C. Bose University Delegation Visits GTU; Both VCs Commit to Collaboration on Innovation, Digital Governance & Skill Development

A nine-member high-level delegation from J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, led by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajive Kumar and Registrar Prof. Ajay Ranga, began its two-day academic and best-practices visit to Gujarat Technological University (GTU), Ahmedabad, today.

The delegation received a warm welcome from GTU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajul K. Gajjar, Registrar Dr. K.N. Kher, and senior officials upon arrival at the Chandkheda campus this morning. The visiting team comprised Prof. Munish Vashishth, Dean of Institutions; Prof. Atul Mishra, Dean (Academic Affairs); Dr. Rajiv Kumar Singh, Controller of Examinations; Prof. Sanjeev Goyal, Principal, Community College of Skill Development; Prof. Maneesha Garg, Director (R&D), Mr. Vishal Kumar, Assistant Registrar (Store & Purchase); and Mr. Jitender Singh Yadav, Public Relations Officer.

The discussions centred on GTU’s pioneering initiatives in digital governance, innovation and start-up ecosystem, and effective implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The delegation was particularly impressed by GTU’s comprehensive end-to-end digitisation covering 486 affiliated colleges, encompassing online affiliation, student enrolment, examinations, result processing, digital degree awarding, and a fully paperless administrative system. Prof. Rajive Kumar described the model as “a national benchmark that J.C. Bose University intends to adopt and adapt at the earliest.”

Detailed presentations on the Gujarat Student Start-up & Innovation Policy (SSIP), support extended to over 8,000 student start-ups, filing of more than 1,000 patents by students and faculty, pre-incubation and incubation frameworks, and grant mechanisms left the visitors highly inspired. Prof. Rajive Kumar expressed strong intent to replicate GTU’s structured approach to foster a university-wide culture of innovation and patenting.

In a significant development, GTU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajul K. Gajjar showed keen interest in J.C. Bose University’s unique Community College of Skill Development initiative, especially its B.Voc. programmes offered under the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) route. Prof. Gajjar appreciated the inclusive model that allows working professionals and non-traditional learners to earn formal degrees by recognising their prior experience and competencies, and indicated GTU’s willingness to explore collaboration in skill-based education and RPL frameworks.

Prof. Rajive Kumar lauded GTU’s visionary leadership and stated that the insights gained during the visit will significantly accelerate J.C. Bose University’s journey towards becoming a leading innovation-driven institution.

The meeting concluded with an exchange of mementos and a shared commitment to convert mutual admiration into a strong, result-oriented partnership between the two premier technical universities of Haryana and Gujarat.

JC Bose University organizes National Workshop on Spectroscopic Techniques to boost Industry Quality Assurance

J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, inaugurated today, which is being conducted from January 19 to 23, 2026.
