Sahil Kaushik from J.C. Bose University Selected for National Environment Youth Parliament (NEYP) 2026
Sahil Kaushik, a student of the Department of Communication and Media Technology and a member of the University's Vasundhara Eco Club at J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, has been selected for the national phase of the prestigious National Environment Youth Parliament (NEYP)-2026.
The National Environment Youth Parliament (NEYP) is a distinguished program designed to raise awareness among youth about environmental challenges and ensure their active participation in environmental conservation efforts. The program is organized by Students for Development (SFD) and Paryavaran Sanrakshan Gatividhi Organization, with support from the University Grants Commission (UGC), Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, and Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
The university-level selection process under this program was jointly conducted by the Vasundhara Eco-Club and the Department of Environmental Sciences at J.C. Bose University.
On this occasion, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajive Kumar congratulated Sahil Kaushik on his remarkable achievement, stating that the selection of a university student for such a prestigious national platform is a matter of immense pride. It reflects the growing sensitivity among youth towards environmental protection. Prof. Kumar extended best wishes to Sahil for the national-level competition and expressed hope that he would further enhance the university's reputation at the national stage.
Prof. Pawan Singh, Chairperson of the Department of Communication and Media Technology, also extended heartfelt congratulations to Sahil on his selection and wished him success in the national phase of the competition.
Dr. Renuka Gupta, Environment Nodal Officer of the University, Coordinator of Vasundhara Eco-Club, and Chairperson of the Department of Environmental Sciences, shared that under the guidance of the Vice-Chancellor, a selection process was organized for the university-level competition, resulting in the selection of 11 students from the university. In the regional-level competition for the Haryana and Rajasthan zone, 200 participants from various universities competed. With an outstanding performance, Sahil Kaushik from J.C. Bose University has been selected for the national level. The final phase of the National Environment Youth Parliament will be held in February at the Nagpur (Maharashtra) Legislative Assembly.
On this occasion, the Vasundhara Eco-Club and the Department of Environmental Sciences conveyed heartfelt best wishes to Sahil Kaushik for the final phase of the National Environment Youth Parliament and expressed hopes for his continued success and bright future.
