J.C. Bose University offered Incubation Support to the finalists of Smart India Hackathon 2025
The Vice-Chancellor of J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, Prof. Rajive Kumar today felicitated the University teams that excelled in the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025 in a ceremony and offered them free incubation facilities valued at approximately Rs. 5 lakh at the University's Technology Business Incubator Centre, encompassing workstations, mentorship, legal framework support, and networking opportunities to nurture their solution-based ideas.
The felicitation ceremony, organized by the Institution’s Innovation Council, was attended by all Deans, Chairpersons of teaching departments. Registrar Prof. Ajay Ranga, Prof. Sanjeev Goyal, In-charge of IPR, Innovation, Incubation and Start-up Division, and Dr. Rashmi Agarwal, President, Institution’s Innovation Council were present on this occasion.
Impressed by the “Smart Classroom & Timetable Scheduler” Smart Education Solution developed by the winning team 'Caffein Overflow'—which secured the First Prize in the Software Edition of SIH 2025 Grand Finale hosted at IIT Dhanbad, the Vice-Chancellor directed the team to valuate it as a commercial product and extended an offer to get it for University implementation. He emphasised its potential to optimise space utilisation by filling timetable gaps, with plans for initial departmental rollout and subsequent University-wide adoption upon success. The mentorship at incubation centre would help them to lend a professional touch to the solution, he added.
Prof. Kumar also urged the participant team “Aura Farmers”, which delivered an impressive performance on the ISRO problem statement “Use of Mobile Phone Measurements to Enable Safe Autonomous Navigation on Roads”, to stay in touch with ISRO officials and continue pursuing their innovation. He assured that the University has robust mechanisms to support talented students and revealed plans to leverage expertise from Gujarat Student Startup and Innovation Hub (i-Hub) to bolster the campus start-up ecosystem.
Prof. Rajive Kumar stated that this remarkable success in securing the First Prize at the SIH 2025 Grand Finale is evidence of the innovative spirit and hard work of our students and faculty. It marks a proud chapter in the University's journey towards excellence in innovation and contributes significantly to nation-building, he added.
It may be noted that University’s Team “Caffein Overflow”, comprising Mr. Sanjeevan Kumar (Team Leader), Ms. Ishaanvi Reet, Ms. Srishti Rathi, Ms. Aarzoo, Mr. Tushar Bhadana, and Mr. Pramod Kumar guided by Dr. Payal Gulati, scripted history by winning this national challenge organised by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. They received a cash prize of Rs. 1.5 lakh and Industrial internship opportunity from AICTE.
