JC Bose University celebrated 77th Republic Day with patriotic fervour
The J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad celebrated the 77th Republic Day with patriotic fervour and gaiety. The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Rajive Kumar unfurled the Tri-colour in the University premises.
The Vice-Chancellor also took the salute at an impressive march-past presented by the Security Officials, NCC Cadets, and NSS volunteers of the University and addressed the gathering. Earlier, Prof. Kumar paid tributes to the martyrs at the War Heroes Gallery in the University.
To keep alive the flame of patriotism, a bouquet of cultural programs was also presented by the students of different clubs. Students showcased their talents through poignant songs, soul-stirring poems, and captivating dance routines, paying tribute to the legacy of our nation. The students from Government Schools from Rajpur Kalan and Sehrawak were also invited to participate in the program and their performances in the function were appreciated by all.
In his address, Prof. Kumar congratulated the staff and students on the occasion of 77th Republic Day. Highlighting the importance of the day, Vice-Chancellor recalled the contributions of the national leaders in the early post-independence contributions like Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and Dr. B. R. Ambedhkar, who worked extensively in framing the Constitution of India. He said that each one of us needs to participate in the attainment of the goals laid down by the constitution. He urged the students to follow the path kindled by the great leaders of the nation.
Prof. Rajive Kumar also highlighted the ongoing year-long commemoration of 150 years of Vande Mataram, the National Song which fuelled patriotic fervor during the freedom struggle and continues to symbolize devotion to the motherland. He linked this historic legacy to the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India), encouraging the youth to pursue excellence in education, innovation, research, and entrepreneurship to build a strong, self-sufficient nation.
The Vice-Chancellor also highlighted the recent achievements of the University apprised the about various infrastructural development plans executed in the University campus and made a fervent appeal to contribute towards the progress of the University.
At the end of the program, the Vice-Chancellor and guest felicitated the students for their performance during the program. The program was organized under the overall supervision of Dean, of Students Welfare Prof. Pradeep Dimri and meticulously coordinated by his team. The ceremony was well attended by all Deans, HoDs, officers of the University, faculty members, supporting staff, and students. The function culminated with the distribution of sweets among all the students and staff members.
