Students and staff members administered the Voter's Pledge
In a vibrant celebration of democratic spirit and ahead of National Voters’ Day (25 January), J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad today organized a solemn Voter's Pledge ceremony on its campus.
Around 200 enthusiastic students and staff members administered the Voter's Pledge, reaffirming their unwavering commitment to upholding India's democratic traditions, ensuring the dignity of free, fair, and peaceful elections, and exercising their franchise fearlessly in every election—without influence from religion, race, caste, community, language, or any inducement.
The ceremony was efficiently convened by Prof. Vasdev Malhotra, Nodal Officer (Election Activities), with active support from the University's NCC, NSS, and Youth Red Cross units.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajive Kumar, Registrar Prof. Ajay Ranga, and other senior officials graced the occasion with their presence, inspiring the young participants.
Addressing the gathering, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajive Kumar commended the University's proactive role in promoting electoral literacy and praised the youth for their enthusiastic engagement in understanding their constitutional rights and the profound importance of voting. He emphasized that fostering active student participation in democratic processes is vital for strengthening society and building a resilient nation, echoing the spirit of this year's National Voters' Day focus on empowered and inclusive voting.
