Workshop on Drone, Gimbal Operations, Three-Point Lighting, and Digital Marketing

A special workshop was organized for the students of the Department of Communication and Media Technology at J.C. Bose University as part of their winter internship. A large number of students from Sanchaar club and Drishya club participated. Under the guidance of Nitin Gupta, Director of HTNM, experts Pankaj Prasad, Sumed, and Abhishek introduced the students to the technicalities and utility of Digital Marketing, Three-Point Lighting, and Drone-Gimbal operations. Chairperson of CMT, Prof. Pawan Singh, welcomed the experts by presenting them with saplings.

In the inaugural session, HTNM expert Pankaj Prasad advised students on the precautions to take during job interviews after completing their studies. He also shared other vital insights regarding the interview process. Subsequently, he explained the nuances of Digital Marketing using simple, real-world examples. He highlighted how students could adopt the "Learn with Earn" model by working from home alongside their academic pursuits.
The second session saw expert Sumed explaining Three-Point Lighting and Drone Operating Systems. He conducted a live demonstration by flying a drone on the university grounds, after which several students gained hands-on experience by operating the drone themselves. Expert Abhishek trained the students on photography and Gimbal Operating Systems. Every student had the opportunity to handle the gimbal-mounted cameras for practical exposure.

Prof. Pawan Singh, Chairperson of CMT, emphasized that technical knowledge of the media sector is indispensable for journalism and visual communication students. He stated that such technical workshops act as a "booster" for their professional growth. He urged students to remain vigilant regarding technological advancements and the need for constant self-upgradation.

The workshop was attended by Assistant Professor Ajay Yadav, Assistant Ravi Kumar, Senior Instructor Dushyant Tyagi, and Production Assistants Pankaj Saini, Anju Singh, Vishal Berwal and Dhiren Singh, Tanishka Nanda, Richa Jain.
