Workshop on Game Development Organized for Visual Communication Students
A special workshop was organized for the B.Sc. Visual Communication
students of the Department of Communication and Media Technology. During
this session, Mr. Robin, Assistant Professor from SGT University,
Gurugram, guided the students on the intricacies of the gaming industry.
Chairperson of CMT, Prof. Pawan Singh, welcomed the expert by
presenting a sapling.
The workshop was organized for the students
of the Drishya Club (Visual Communication) under the Winter Internship
program conducted by the Media Department of J.C. Bose University.
During the session, Assistant Professor Robin shed light on the critical
stages of the 'Gaming Pipeline.' He explained the journey of a game
from a conceptual idea to the final product. Students received technical
insights into 3D character modeling, learning how digital characters
are brought to life.
Professor Robin also shared information
regarding industry-standard software currently used in the gaming
sector. He demonstrated how these tools are utilized to design
characters and environments. During the session, students learned:

Chairperson
of CMT, Prof. Pawan Singh stated that this special session not only
enhanced the students' technical knowledge but also inspired them
regarding career prospects in the gaming sector. Students engaged with
Mr. Robin, asking several questions about the future of the gaming
industry and employment opportunities, all of which were answered
comprehensively.
Workshop coordinators Assistant Professor Ravi
Kumar and Assistant Professor Ajay Yadav expressed their gratitude to
expert Assistant Professor Robin. They emphasized that such sessions are
instrumental in providing students with practical experience beyond
traditional textbook learning.
