J.C. Bose University to host International Conference on Transmedia Storytelling (TS’26) on February 18–19, 2026
Preparations are in the final stages for a two-day transdisciplinary international conference titled “Transmedia Storytelling: Narratives, Discourse and Dissemination (TS’26)” at J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad. The event, scheduled for February 18–19, 2026, will be held in hybrid mode, allowing participation from scholars across India and abroad both offline and online.
The Department of Literature and Languages is organizing this conference in alliance with The Shakespeare Association, India. Prof. (Dr.) Divyajyoti Singh, Chairperson of the Department of Literature and Languages and Convenor of the conference, shared that in today's global and digital era, storytelling has transcended traditional boundaries to assume multilayered and multidimensional forms. Narratives are evolving continuously across literature, cinema, digital media, social platforms, artificial intelligence, law, and mass communication. The conference will provide a serious academic platform to discuss the changing dimensions of narrative construction, dissemination, and discourse in this context.
The inaugural session will take
place on February 18, 2026, at 10:00 AM in the University Auditorium. Prof.
(Dr.) Prasannanshu, Director, Centre for Linguistic Justice and Endangered
Languages, National Law University, Delhi (Dwarka), will grace the occasion as
the Chief Guest. The presidential address will be delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Bhim
Singh Dahiya, former Vice-Chancellor, Kurukshetra University, and President,
Shakespeare Association, India.

address the gathering. He commended the initiative, stating: “It is praiseworthy
that the Department of Literature and Languages is organizing this
international conference on ‘Transmedia Storytelling: Narratives, Discourse and
Dissemination’. In the present time, the process of storytelling is dynamically
circulating across various media, platforms, and disciplines, profoundly
influencing our communication, thinking, and social engagement. Such a
conference encourages meaningful dialogue between literature, media,
technology, and culture.” He expressed confidence that the event will serve as
an effective platform for scholars, students, and researchers to exchange ideas
and explore new perspectives.
The conference will feature
presentations and lectures from renowned national and international scholars.
Among the international speakers participating online are Prof. Margit Koves
(Delhi University, with international affiliations), Prof. David Blumenkrantz
(California State University, USA), Prof. Ahmar Mahboob (University of Sydney,
Australia), Prof. Iuliia Shamaieva (Ukraine), and Dr. Anna M. Kuzio (Poland),
along with several other distinguished experts.
Over the two days, plenary sessions will delve
into contemporary themes such as “Narratives and Discourse”, “Artificial
Intelligence in the Context of Narratives”, “European and Global Perspectives”,
and “Rhetoric and Efficacy”. Parallel technical sessions will allow researchers
and scholars to present their papers. The second day will include a quiz
competition, academic discussions, and a valedictory session.
This conference offers a valuable opportunity for students, research scholars, and faculty to deepen their understanding of the contemporary media landscape and engage in global academic dialogue.
