Two-day National Conference of the Media Department concludes at J.C. Bose University

The valedictory ceremony of the two-day national conference 'Media, Society and Public Discourse in the Digital Age', organized by the Department of Communication and Media Technology, J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, was graced by the dignified presence of Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of Chaudhary Devi Lal University Sirsa; Prof. K.G. Suresh, India Habitat Centre and former Vice-Chancellor of MCU Bhopal; Uttam Lal, Director of NHPC; Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajeev Kumar; Registrar Prof. Ajay Ranga; and Dean Prof. Anuradha Sharma. The guests felicitated the researchers who presented the best research papers.

Addressing the valedictory ceremony held at the Vivekananda Auditorium as the Chief Guest, Chaudhary Devi Lal University Sirsa Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Kumar shed light on the ethical aspects of media. He stated that the media should understand its responsibilities towards society and work in the right direction.

University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajeev Kumar, in his address, said that in the digital age, the role of media has become extremely crucial in making society aware and educated. He urged the students to adopt the positive aspects of media and work towards bringing positive change in society.

Prof. K.G. Suresh, India Habitat Centre and former Vice-Chancellor of MCU Bhopal, discussed the social impacts of media. He stated that the media should reflect the reality of society and work for positive change. Through several historical anecdotes and popular incidents of AI dominance, he mentioned the negative and positive impacts of media. He also warned against synthetic media created by Deepfake Artificial Intelligence (AI) and future challenges.
Expressing his views, Registrar Prof. Ajay Ranga said that this conference has encouraged an in-depth discussion on the relationship between media and society. He emphasized the need for the Media Department to promote such events in the future as well.

Sharing his experiences, NHPC Director Uttam Lal said that coordination between media and industry promotes development in society. NHPC Limited was the principal sponsor of this conference. He assured cooperation with the university in the interest of society in the future as well.

Head of the Media Department, Prof. Pawan Singh, in his welcome address, thanked all the guests and participants. He said that this conference has significantly contributed to strengthening the dialogue between media and society. This two-day national conference provided a platform to discuss important issues in the context of media, society, and the digital age. The views of all the guests inspired the participants and provided guidance for their future endeavors.
In the first parallel session of the national conference, Akash Kumar from CCS Meerut discussed management and modern technology. In the second parallel session, Deepika from Amity University, Manesar shed light on innovations in the field of education and research. In the third parallel session, Dr. Nakul from Skill University, Patwadi emphasized the importance of skill development and education. Neeraj and Gulshekhi participated in the fourth parallel session. In this session, experts shared their experiences and thoughts.

Assistant Professor Dr. Rahul Arya presented the report of the conference. Dr. Akhilesh Tripathi anchored the stage and Ajay Yadav proposed the vote of thanks. This event brought experts from various fields onto a single platform and encouraged the exchange of knowledge and ideas. The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.
